Playground of Life: Jellyfish Pavilion

What is “Playground of Life: Jellyfish Pavilion”?

The Jellyfish Pavilion is the signature pavilion of the ‘Invigorating Lives’ theme project (producer: Sachiko Nakajima, musician, mathematician, and STEAM educator) of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan to be held in 2025 (theme, ‘Designing Future Society for Our Lives’). The Jellyfish Pavilion is based on the concept of “Everyone's heartbeat gathering to become one big future instrument - STEAM: A journey in search of excitement! The Jellyfish Pavilion will create play, co-creation, and collaboration among the five senses. For more information, please visit the Playground of Life: Jellyfish Pavilion website or watch the Jellyfish Pavilion promotional video!”

In virtual space, many things are possible beyond what is possible in the real world.

The following is a partial list, so please feel free to come up with new ideas for play equipment.

  • You can create the shape of play equipment with your own ideas.
  • You can add movement and change to play equipment.
  • You can change body movements, such as the ability to jump or walk at different speeds.
  • You can ignore or change gravity.
  • You can communicate with other people in the space via voice or text chat.
    etc.

*Subject to change depending on the platform specifications.

Please note that we welcome ideas for future play equipment based on the concept and ideas of the Jellyfish Pavilion without being overly concerned with “virtual.”
