What is STEAM?
Let's make all over the world a place to play and learn! A STEAM Symphony that explodes each person's diverse creativity
STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts/Liberal Arts, and Mathematics and represents an exhilarating approach to learning.
It symbolizes a way of learning and living to think like a scientist or mathematician and to create like an artist or engineer. Focused on excitement, it refers to a transdisciplinary, practical, and creative learning that generates a cycle of "Knowing (Discovery/Awareness)" and "Creating (Innovation/Exploration)," fostering excitement. This approach is widely promoted around the world in the 21st century.

STEAM 01
SCIENCE
It is a discipline aimed at understanding the world around us. From the intricacies of the human body to natural phenomena in the cosmos, this field involves observation from various perspectives to ponder the "why?". Through research and exploration, it seeks to understand principles and laws, often involving experiments, and to predict outcomes and derive solutions to problems.
STEAM 02
TECHNOLOGY
It is a discipline that utilizes insights gained from science in various fields to practically create things. The discipline encompasses creating diagrams necessary for production, processing materials, and utilizing concepts such as electrical circuits and information processing. Its aim is to create tools and devices for specific purposes, and to apply these creations to real-life situations.
STEAM 03
ENGINEERING
"Engineering" or "creation of things" refers to the world of examining structures, designing, and conducting research to build better technologies and systems in order to create products and new technologies. While the use of computers is common, activities such as origami and handicrafts also fall under the umbrella of engineering!
STEAM 04
ART/ARTS
It extends beyond the traditional field of "fine arts" and encompasses a broad range of liberal arts, including music, literature, design, and more. It encourages new perspectives and ideas, fostering the development of one's imagination and the ability to convey personal thoughts. It is an academic discipline that generates and communicates new values.
STEAM 05
MATHEMATICS
It is the discipline to model by extracting the essence of various aspects of the world . It primarily deals with numbers, quantities, geometry, structures, and more. It involves classifying things, providing systematic explanations, sometimes creating entirely new and free rules which change perspectives on the world, and making predictions. Mathematics is hidden throughout the world, and mathematical thinking, including Computational Thinking, is crucial for learners in the 21st century.

Architecture
What materials to use and what sort of space to design? To whom, what emotions to evoke, and what actions to facilitate? Let's envision the future of space with unrestricted creativity, exploring novel architectural concepts. Consider the properties and weight of materials, the flow of people, and a multitude of other aspects. Even in virtual realms, architecture remains a pivotal element.

Somaticity
Pay attention to the body through physical expression in various genres of dance, games that incorporate sports, and so on. Experiment with various ways of using your body that you may not be aware of in everyday life. Find out how you can express yourself and how you can move to approach your goals more effectively. (Let's try to understand your body from multiple angles, sometimes using programming or AI.)

Symbiotic Society where No One is Left Behind
We are all diverse and different in our personalities and characteristics. So life is interesting! The characteristics we now call "disabilities" can be a weakness in an immature society, yet they are also treasures. Seek a future co-creation and symbiotic society in which all kinds of life flourishes, by recognizing the diversity, for example, by looking into the world we can see in the absence of sight, and the world we can hear in the absence of sound.
